#29: Fantasy World Dizzy (CodeMasters, C64, 1989)
It’s also the first game in the series that doesn’t take place in a deserted wasteland, with the fantasy world populated by all manner of weird and wonderful creatures like trolls, dragons and Australians. And, most importantly, the ‘Yolkfolk’, Dizzy’s cabal of egg-shaped friends, who will go on to appear as supporting cast in just about every other Dizzy game from here on in. There’s Dylan, the hippie, Denzil, the cool one, Dozy, the lazy one, Grand Dizzy, the grumpy old one, and Daisy, the girl one.
