My quest to play every game to have been #1 on the UK’s official games charts has taken me to the end of 1993!
1993′s #1s presented a lot of helicopters, even more war and fighting, and of course some more sport. There was less of the strikingly new than 1992, but some enjoyable and interesting twists.
- Sleepwalker (CTA Developments/Ocean, Amiga)
- Body Blows (Team 17, Amiga)
- Desert Strike (Electronic Arts, Amiga)
- Gunship 2000 (MicroProse, Amiga)
- Syndicate (Bullfrog/Electronic Arts, Amiga)
- Jungle Strike (Electronic Arts, Mega Drive)
- Day of the Tentacle (LucasArts/US Gold, PC)
- Championship Manager ‘93 (Domark, Amiga)
- Microsoft Flight Simulator (Microsoft, PC)
- Mortal Kombat (Midway/Acclaim, Mega Drive)
- Elite II: Frontier (David Braben/Gametek/Konami, Amiga)
- Super Mario All Stars (Nintendo, SNES)
- FIFA International Soccer (Extended Play/Electronic Arts, Mega Drive)
Previously: 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992
Coming up next: All the sequels, the CD strikes again, the ugly face of capitalism, and more…
