Regular readers may have noticed it’s been a bit since the last post. I decided I needed to shake things up a bit and have a rethink. I will be occasionally carrying on through 2012 and beyond, but I have decided to take a bit of a break and then return to an earlier point in time.
Since I started this project in 2018, when I began with the #1s of 1984, I have discovered the magnificent work of Retro Game Charts and Computer Hits. The good people at the Internet Archive and elsewhere have made a greater number of old magazines with charts in more easily available. I can write about a much clearer picture starting from even earlier, and apply some things I’ve learned along the way. I’m excited to do so.
Super Chart Island will return on 7 January, and will be starting from some time in 1983.
