#41: The Secret of Monkey Island (Lucasfilm Games, Amiga, 1990)
The Secret of Monkey Island is a point-and-click graphic adventure game about the misadventures of wannabe pirate Guybrush Threepwood, widely and correctly hailed as one of the absolute pinnacles of the genre. It is also, rather pointedly, absolutely hilarious. Before writing, I played the game through to completion again, for probably like the tenth time in my life, and I still found new jokes that I don’t remember seeing before.
