#10: Out Run (U.S. Gold, Commodore 64, 1988)

It’s never explicitly clear what it is they are outrunning. Their own inevitable mortality, perhaps. But what is clear is that they are going to have a whale of a time doing it. The radio tuned to “Magical Sound Shower”, top down, cool wind blowing through their hair, not a care in the world.
At least until the clock runs out after they go off-road and flip the car; until their mistakes and their hubris catch up to them, and they can run no more. ♫~SE-GA!~♫
