My quest to play every game to have been #1 on the UK’s official games charts has taken me to the end of 1986. That year saw the 8-bit computers still dominant, with sports game fever extending to American sports, and a whole lot of arcade conversions. 1985′s fighting game trend continued over with some twists, and there were some new hints at what lies ahead in the appearance of Batman and a couple of military games.
