#31: Batman (Ocean, Amiga, 1989)
Ideally, we would like a Batman game to provide us with an interesting variety of creative problems to solve, and a corresponding variety of tools to use in order to solve them. Is Batman: The Movie that game? At first glance, not really. Your tool kit is limited to Batarangs which can be thrown to disable enemies, and a grappling hook that is used to climb to higher platforms or swing across gaps. Initially, the entire point of the game seems to be to stroll around at an irritatingly slow pace, throwing Batarangs at anything that moves, watching your health slowly sap away as enemies rain unavoidable gunshots and bombs on you from above. A similarly miserable experience to the last time we played a game based on a licensed property in Predator.
